Ecoquartier Coronmeuse: towards a lively district

The adventure of transforming the Coronmeuse district into a lively, mixed, inclusive and sustainable eco-district has kept us in suspense for many years already! Initiated at the start of a competitive dialogue for the city of Liège, the project was able to evolve with private partners and public authorities, towards an ambitious project.

This journey raised many questions along the way: program definition, spatial and landscape quality, articulation of functions, phasing of operations and citizen participation, technical aspects, to move towards operationalization and ensure also the profitability of the project. These numerous components required designer and stakeholder management skills…and a lot of motivation to achieve this project, now in the execution phase.

Über

Hélène Rillaerts ist Bauingenieurin und Architektin (UCLouvain). Seit 2004 arbeitet sie an Großprojekten im Bereich strategische Planung, städtebauliches Design. Diese vielfältigen Aufgaben haben es ihr ermöglicht, ein tiefgehendes Verständnis für städtebauliche Instrumente zu erlangen sowie transversale Kenntnisse im Projektmanagement zu entwickeln.

Sie ist ebenfalls in die Optimierung der Nachhaltigkeitspotenziale auf Quartiersebene sowie die Koordination der verschiedenen Stakeholder in Bezug auf diese Fragestellungen eingebunden.

Innerhalb von BUUR POS fungiert Hélène als Leiterin für das Team Urban Projects. Neben ihren Aufgaben ist Hélène als Mitglied des Vorstands des Pôle Ecobuild aktiv, das Unternehmen im Bereich nachhaltiges Bauen vereint. Sie ist auch Teil der Expertenkommission „Good Living“, die dazu beiträgt, die Leitlinien für nachhaltige städtebauliche Regelungen für Brüssel neu zu definieren.
